Born and raised a farm girl from rural Eastern Washington. My dad is the 4th generation of farmers in our family and raises wheat, barley and peas. Though I love visiting home, I've found my niche in San Diego. I grew up playing basketball, volleyball and swimming, but volleyball has always been my first choice. I stuck close to home for college and played at Eastern Washington University where I earned a degree in Public Communications and Electronic Media. I coached at the University of Maine for a couple of years before deciding that I wasn't finished playing yet, and thus made the move west! As far as jobs go, beach volleyball is my fake-ish job. For "real", I work for a children's fitness company and just finished my teaching credential. For now, though, the fake-ish one takes the cake!

Seven Silly Questions
1. If you could have one super power, what would it be?The 'BEAM ME UP, SCOTTY' type. I'd love to be able to travel that way…whatever that may mean. It just seems fast
2. If you were stuck on a deserted island, what is the one thing you would want? Perhaps a Matthew McConaughey-ish type AND PB and J AND a bongo drum set.
3. What is your guilty pleasure? COOKIES….all kinds and American Idol.
4. Who is your hero? My dad!
5. What frightens you? All rodents, clowns, some cats and puppets that look like people.
6. If you could meet anyone, who would it be? My grandfather, Jerome Cluckey. He passed away before I was born. If I had a day with him, we would spend it sitting on the porch sipping on his homemade rootbeer!
7. If you didn't play volleyball, what would you do? Teach abroad
