Club VolleyChick FAQ
Club VolleyChick: is run much like indoor club volleyball. Players sign up for the summer beach season with the club. Their Volleychick coach helps form teams/partners, provides instruction, issues uniforms, etc. Players/parents are required to register themselves for tournaments online. Volleychick coaches will provide training for their players twice a week, weather permitting. Teams/partners will be given a matching uniform which includes a bathing suit and tank top. Players participating in the 2013 CLUB VOLLEYCHICK season may play for any beach tour. VolleyChick Coaches will be available at all EEVB and Rockstar Volleyball sanctioned events.
Who is the Clearwater Club VolleyChick coach?
Tara Kuk. Tara was a second-team All-American NJCAA while at Pasco-Hernando C.C. After transferring to Jacksonville University, Tara was named the TAC conference player of the year in her senior season. She was also invited to try out for the U.S. National Team in 2000. Tara's traveled for eight years playing various professional beach volleyball tours. In 2008, her and partner, fellow VolleyChick Kim Whitney, went undefeated on the EVP Pro Tour and Tara was named EVP Player of the year. The duo also had much success on the AVP tour throughout the years beating multiple Top 10 teams, resulting in numerous Top 10 finishes.
Tara is headed into her 10th season as the varsity volleyball coach and physical education teacher at Palm Harbor University High School. In her 2012 season, her team won both district and conference titles. One of her seniors received first team all Suncoast and played in the Florida State All Star Match. Two of her players received First Team All County and Conference honors.
Do players have to participate in all of the tournaments?
Athletes can participate in the events of their choice. Being a member of Club VolleyChick means you are committing to the practice sessions. There is no commitment to play in tournaments, but they are encouraged. Tournaments allow the CVC athletes to compete against a variety of players from all over the state.
When is the Club VolleyChick season?
Session 1: May 6th-June 24th
Session 2: June 27th-August 1st

Where are the tournaments?
The tournaments are located throughout the summer all on both the west and east coast. RockstarVolleyball, USA Beach Volleyball, SSOVA, and EastEnd Volleyball are the four tours who run events regularly throughout the summer.
What divisions are there at the tournaments?
14U. 16U. 18U.
Is it required that I have a partner to participate?
It is not required that you have a partner to participate in practice sessions. We will do our best to match you up with a partner for tournaments.
What if my partner is younger than me?
A team may be comprised of different age participants. A team with players from different age divisions must play in the division of the oldest team member. Teams and individuals may play "up" in divisions, but may never play "down" in divisions. Depending on the number of athletes signed up for Club Volleychick, the groups will most likely be separated by age and experience.
How much does it cost to play? $100 registration fee. First ten athletes are guaranteed a spot and receive additional VC gear. The registration fee includes a bathing suit, tank, and cinch bag. Single Session (6 weeks): $400. Both Sessions (12 weeks): $700.
